I had installed WMP11 on Vista using some tricks and it was working great for months sharing to my xbox 360s and other devices, about a month ago it just died. I was unable to fix it myself and decided to look online and never thought I would find the answer. The problem crippled my time I had to relax until you fixed it. After scanning the media library, Windows Media Centre is unable to display pictures. Now when you restart Windows Media Player, you should be able to add music to your library again. The first thing you'll need to do is go to Control Panel \ Administrative Tools \ Services for XP and look for the services that start with "Windows Media Player".
