It's not the same as hibernation and AFAIK they're not linked, and in fact they can interfere with each other because of how fast boot works (shouldn't but you never know). SO the key is to make sure you don't have some sort of NETWORK interface virtual or physical that is interfering or has a setting that blocks it! hilberfile.sys has the current time stamp, so I suspect it's an issue with waking up, not with going to sleep.
