In VMware environments DHCP unicast requests are getting lost. I had used "Bridged" for each VM but after the upgrade, I encountered connectivity problems. My other desktop connects fine wired and other laptop connects fine wireless. After it boots into the Operating System check if the network adapter is connected, if not go to the VM menu -> Removable Devices -> Network Adapter click connect.
